Doug Eng EdD PhD CSCS is a USPTA and PTR Master Professional. He has taught tennis for 25 years having work with players of all ages and levels including nearly 100 sectionally, nationally or ITF ranked juniors and adults. He is a member of the USTA National Sport Science Committee, is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and certified by Sanchez-Casal Tennis Academy. Doug is a USTA High Performance coaching with 16 years of college coaching experience and presently directs the Tennis Academy at Harvard.

A member of HEAD/Penn National Speaking Staff, Doug has spoke at many conferences including the USTA Tennis Teachers Conference, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Coaches Convention, USPTA World Conference and the PTR International Symposium. He has been awarded five pro of the year awards for the PTR and and USPTA New England Divisions and by Boston Magazine (Best of Boston 2010”). He has written for tennisone.com and tennisplayer.net and has written for several print magazines and has been translated in several languages and was interviewed or consulted by mainstream media including The Guardian (UK), El Pais (Spain) and NOVA.

Doug has been PTR New England President for seven years and currently serves on the USPTA New England Board. He has also served on PTR and USPTA national committees. Doug served USTA New England on the board of directors and on several committees including the nominating committee and the sport science committee (as chair). Doug has trained over a thousand coaches for PTR as a national clinician and USTA as a development coaches trainer. He also has been an independent consultant in sport psychology and volunteers for community and grassroots. He has won numerous awards for his contributions to tennis and volunteering. He is also certified as a Level 2 Coach by US Squash and is a PADI Divemaster.
