Monica J. Androsko, a Delaware County native, has been employed by the Chester-Upland School District for 26 years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University where she played Division I tennis, and earned her Masterâ€™s Degree in Education from Widener University while working full time. She was honored with induction to her high school Hall of Fame in 1995 and with selection
to â€œWHOâ€™S WHO AMONG AMERICAâ€™S TEACHERSâ€ in 1998 and again in 2004.
A PTR Professional 5A, Monica has been the driving force behind DELCO Tennis Association, Inc. since its inception in 1989. Earning the 1991 USTA/NJTL National Chapter of the Year Award, DELCO Tennis was again recognized by the USTA in 1992 for Outstanding Contributions to the USTA Schools Program. Monica, through this organization, has taught hundreds of adults and youth to play and enjoy the game of tennis, â€œThe Sport For A Lifetime.â€ In 1996, she was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the USTA/MS/Philadelphia Area Tennis District. DELCO Tennis earned the Organization of the Year Award the following year. Articles in the 1997 fall and 1998 editions of the USPTR â€œWomenâ€™s Quarterlyâ€ magazine featured Monica and her program as did the â€œAtlantic Racquet Pressâ€ publication in their spring 1998 edition.
Beyond passing all of the USTAâ€™s Level II Sports Science competency tests by the closed book method, Monica is a lifetime member of the USTA, a USTA certified tennis official, a USA Tennis High Performance graduate, a USTA national clinician, and is active as a sectional and national Tournament Director. Her extensive coaching experience includes:

Monica has been a Staff Pro at Victoria Racquet Club in Swarthmore, PA, from 1993 -2003 where she taught private lessons, as well as clinics for juniors and adults. Summer months frequently finds her teaching tennis at the Couples Swept Away Resort in Negril, Jamaica.
Monica is a member of the WILSON Advisory Staff and has served on numerous USTA/MS and District Committees throughout more than 15 years of dedicated volunteering. In addition to her role as President of DELCO Tennis Association, she is currently serving terms on two Middle Statesâ€™ committees; High Performance and Chair of Sanctions/Schedules.
